TAPE WORMS
If a pet has fleas, it probably has tapeworms, too.
- Fleas transmit the most commonly seen tapeworm to dogs and cats. It is also possible for humans to become infected.
- If you do not use flea control products until you see fleas, it may be too late to stop the transmission of tapeworms.
- Topical solutions can effectively break the flea life cycle and help prevent tapeworm infection.
- Flea larvae can ingest tapeworm eggs.
- Without the irritating itch and biting, pets are less likely to ingest infected fleas.
Please, take your vet’s recommendations for flea and parasite control. It will help you and your pet or pets.
