People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) reveals the shell game behind "no-kill" sheltering in this hard-hitting expose narrated by PETA president Ingrid E. Newkirk. The Betrayal of 'No-Kill' Sheltering explains why the only real and humane way to become a "no-kill" nation is to first become a no-birth nation, by passing spay/neuter laws; working to stop pet shops and puppy mills; supporting low-cost and no-cost sterilization clinics; and urging everyone to spay, neuter, and adopt-not by turning away animals from "no-kill" facilities while leaving difficult decisions about euthanasia to shelters that accept every animal in need.
